Rider Profile - Jo Battersby
jobeeNAME: Jo Battersby, a.k.a. "Jobee"

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF: It's all about the bike. When it's not about the bike, it's about drinking coffee, consuming lots of food, eating chocolate, hanging out with my mates, swimming in the ocean, playing music and getting up to mischief.

BIKE: Pinarello, FP3 - she's 1 week old and yet to be named.

AGE: 30 something

OCCUPATION: Semi-professional cyclist!

FAVOURITE FOOD: Chocolate & pasta

FAVOURITE RIDE: Tour Down Under, 2009. Following the pro riders, hanging out at Cibo coffee shops and for those who don't know, "the roads in Adelaide are brilliant". I've mentioned that once or twice before, but they really are excellent!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CYCLING? 3 years on a roadie.

WHAT IS IT THAT ATTRACTED YOU TO CYCLING? Cute boys in lycra.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOUR CYCLING? The notion that one day it will hurt a bit less, I'll be faster up the hills, smoother on the flats and faster around the bends. I'm sure I'll never get there but I'm just loving the ride! Pun intended 

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE CYCLING PLANS OR GOALS? 12 September 2009, women's race - Glen Innes to Inverell. Tour Down Under 2010.

OTHER INTERESTS/HOBBIES: Playing guitar, singing, mountain biking.
