We have a new range of Schwalbe tires at Cheekys. The new Ultremo R road race tyres have been developed using Schwalbe's "High Density Technology" and have a protection belt built into the Bicycle tire.  The tyre retains its shape better. Internal friction and rolling resistance are reduced. We have black, silver and blue Ultremo R road race tyres in stock - check back with us soon as red, yellow and white are on their way!!

We also have the Schwalbe Stelvio tyres in stock - a top competition tyres with Dual Compound technology. The Stelvios come in a variety of colours (pink, red, green, grey, blue and black). Purchase a pair of pink Stelvios and receive a pink National Breast Cancer Foundation wrist band (which is a $3.00 donation to the Foundation by Schwalbe). The 'friction resistant' Endurance mixture in the centre of the tread is extremely durable, while a silica mixture on the tread sides provides superb cornering ability.  The RaceGuard puncture protection belt has been speically developed for racing tyres: although lightweight and with low rolling resistance, it provides really effective protection against punctures.

The Schwalbe Tube (SV 15)

The Schwalbe tube is not just a tube! A recent comparative test against other tubes showed over a period of 30 days the other brand tubes lost nearly twice as much pressure as Schwalbe tubes.

Airtightness. The base material is sieved at enormous pressure through seven filters before being extruded.  All tubes are inserted into a mould and inflated for vulcanization to ensure constant wall thickness and high air pressure retention.

Reliability. All tubes are inflated and stored for 24 hours in order to test for air pressure retention, followed by a careful visual inspection. This special quality control helps prevent unpleasant surprises and is why Schwalbe tubes have become highly respected for outstanding reliability by bicycle dealers.

Valve. All valves are nickel plated and threaded and valve inserts are replaceable. Also Schwalbe tubes with the classic bicycle valve are capable of pressure testing thanks to a high pressure valve seal.

Schwalbe High Pressure Rim Tape

The rim tape effectively protects the tube against mechanical damage, for example from spoke heads and metal burrs around the spoke holes.

Tyre Levers

The special shape of the lever reduces the danger of the tube being pinched during installation.  When removing a tyre, the lever can be snapped onto the spoke - leaving hands free for the second lever.  The high quality plastic is virtually unbreakable.  The levers can be clipped together for easy storage.
